The Life I Own

Review

The four musicians who make up this band were all excited about playing in a new venue. They put on an enjoyable show for an hour, similar to the other two times we've seen them. They played a well-chosen mix of originals, including two completely new songs, some traditional Irish instrumentals, and a couple of unexpected rock 'n roll covers. All four women are multi-instrumentalists and they're all very good singers, with excellent harmony vocals, with the exception that today Ksenia was suffering from a bit of a sore throat and left the vocals to her three band mates. Being able to adapt is another strength of this band, I can see.

The Eastham Windmill Green is a fun place to see a concert. They have free shows every Monday evening through the summer. There is a bandstand where the band sets up and a good sized lawn. There's plenty of street parking along the sides of the green, down the road at the library, and across Rte. 6 (crosswalk provided). And there's the windmill (now a museum) adding a touch of history to the experience.
